Why write these long command names?

Make your and your users life easier by abbreviating the names of those commands which you use very frequently. Use the first letter of the original command name, this is a good naming convention if you follow it all time. The other good thing in this naming convention is that people will not FORGET the original names, because they actually remember the original name each time they write the new name. For that use the CRTDUPOBJ command and put the new command names into qusrsys, or QGPL. Never into qsys...!

Example: WRKACTJOB , WRKSYSSTS, WRLLIBPDM, WRKUSRPRF, WRKSPLF, STRPDM, STRSST, WRKPRB, WRKWTR, ...etc.

So to do that: CRTDUPOBJ OBJ(WRKACTJOB) FROMLIB(QSYS) OBJTYPE(*CMD) TOLIB(QUSRSYS) NEWOBJ(WAJ)
