Using F14=Find/Change options

One of the most used functions when maintaining a source member is 'Find'. This tip shows you another way to use it.

Probably one of the most used functions when maintaining a source member is 'Find'. Using F14=Find/Change options allows you to search for a string either forward or backwards.

A more convenient way is to use the 'FIND' or 'F' SEU command on the SEU command line. For example type F BEGSR to search for the next occurrence of BEGSR, and F BEGSR P to search for the previous occurrence of BEGSR. Pressing F16 repeats the request.

For a complete description of all SEU commands, see the Source Entry Utility (SEU) manual - 9.1, chapter 9.
