Lose that source?

Too many source libraries to keep track of? Run the command DSPFD to show all source members.

We typically have so many source libraries that sometimes a source gets misplaced. Periodically I like to run command DSPFD to show all source members, specifying:

FILE(*ALLUSR/*ALL)
TYPE(*MBRLIST)
OUTPUT(*OUTFILE)
OUTFILE(anylib/anyname)

It is best to submit this as a batch task as it may run quite a while.

You can then make a query against the outfile or use DSPPFM outfile and locate the source member name in positions 65-75. Library/file names are readily viewed also.

Maybe I'm taking a roundabout approach and perhaps there's an easier way to do this. But I have found this very useful.
