IBM's changing information on the sign-on screen without recompiling

I'm sure many of you have looked at the AS/400 sign on screen and thought what a waste of valuable space. And when you wanted to add message text to the screen you had to end the subsystems and recompile the DDS Source. Well not anymore. IBM has come up with a way to display message files on your sign on screen without recompiling. Check out the URL below. All the code you will need is listed there.

IBM offers the CHGSIGNON utility and describes how to use it to change sign-on screens without needing to end the subsystem, recompile the sign-on screen DDS, and restart the subsystem. You can learn more about the utility at Click here to learn more about the utility.
