Debugging: DBU and journals

For those of you using DBU, I find this very helpful for debugging. I view a lot of journal records via DBU. I...

found it cumbersome to use F16=Search. I would much rather use SQL or Query to wade through all the records.

I press the ESC key while in DBU and get a command line. You will notice that DBU creates a temporary file in QTEMP called DBUJRNPF. You can then copy that file or STRSQL and select records from DBUJRNPF. That make debugging much easier when DBU did all the work by pulling the journal records and putting them in there correct fields.

You need to setup the Attention program in your user profile to call QCMD when the ESC key is pushed. Other then that, all you need is DBU and the attention key setup.
