Sure, you can cut and paste RPG code into PC files, but did you know that you can cut and paste RPG code from PC files and the Internet into a source file on the iSeries? Simply highlight the code from the PC file or Internet site and press CTL + C to copy. Then open with SEU a new or existing source file to which you have added enough blank lines to hold your copied code, and click the Paste button on the Client Access tool bar.
- I have found that the described solution is very limited. What I do is to use SEU to create the file. Then I use OpsNav to select the created member under File System -- QSYS.LIB -- YOURLIB, right click, select edit, and paste any amount of code into the file. Then, I switch back to SEU and compile or debug the code as necessary. I always work with both OpsNav and an emulator open. — Richard Marquardt
