Electronic Storage Corp. announced the release of a fully updated version of their LaserVault report archiving and document management system to include application integration and full text indexing of PDF documents. The new version will enable users to instantly retrieve their invoices, documents, and reports from their AS/400 with the touch of a single key, without having to reprogram their current system.
With the new application integration feature, or "screen scrape" function, access to client, customer, or vendor reports and invoices has never been faster or easier. Function keys can now be configured to retrieve reports and invoices instantly with the touch of a single key. For example, after pulling up a customer's account, the user can touch one of the configured function keys and have instant access to the customer's past invoices and reports. This immediate access drastically improves customer service and employee efficiency.
LaserVault will now also include full text indexing of all reports and PDF documents, allowing users to find and extract fields from PDF's and search by those fields. The specified field is highlighted when it is located in the document, which saves employees the time and energy of having to manually search through documents and files. This feature can also be used to do a batch search across a range of dates. After all of the PDF documents and reports for the specified date are found, they can be combined into one PDF and either emailed, faxed, or posted to the web using ESC's Content Express content delivery system.
This latest release of LaserVault contains new features that will improve customer service by providing instant access to customer files, while saving time and enhancing employee efficiency throughout the company.
