LANSA participates in UCCnet beta testing program

PRESS RELEASE

As a UCCnet Certified Alliance Partner, LANSA recently participated in the beta testing of UCCnet Data Synchronization Services release 2.2. UCCnet provides item registry and data synchronization for electronic commerce based on industry-developed standards. Its GLOBALregistry lets retailers locate product and partner information to achieve accurate Item data distribution in near real-time. This new version incorporates technology that will allow UCCnet subscribers to exchange and synchronize data with their trading partners on a global scale and across many new industry vertical markets.

The LANSA product involved in the beta testing program was LANSA UCCnet Direct, which is a complete life cycle solution for UCCnet Supplier compliance. An integral component of that solution is LANSA Integrator, which is an any-to-any transformation product that enables rapid B2Bi (Business-to-Business integration) transactions through XML and Java services.

Alan Christensen, vice president solution products for LANSA, oversaw the company's participation in the testing program. He said, "LANSA was a leading participant in the UCCnet Solution Partner beta program testing evaluating V2.2 capabilities. This release is of major significance to the burgeoning UCCnet community as it expands UCCnet's capabilities to fully support Private label, DSD (Direct Store Delivery), and Pricing. It also extends the reach of UCCnet beyond just the Food & CPG industries to include Hardlines, Produce, HBC (Health, Beauty, and Cosmetics), OTC (Over-the-Counter), and Apparel by providing class extension payloads. This is also the first step toward the GDSN (Global Data Synchronization Network), which opens up access to UCCnet's GLOBALregistry via other private industry exchanges and national registries.
