ProData announces server-proven software for the iSeries

ProData announced that IBM has given ServerProven certification to two ProData utilities: DBU and SQL/Pro.

ProData Computer Services Inc. a long-time IBM eServer iSeries software vendor, announced that IBM has given ServerProven certification to two ProData utilities: DBU and SQL/Pro.

DBU is the original database utility on the iSeries AS/400, which allows users to view and update any file instantly without using time-consuming queries, DFU or programming. The newest release offers a GUI with 'explorer' like features for the AS/400 file systems. It is also accessible thru iSeries Navigator. SQL/PRO is a complementary product, which provides a cost effective structured query language with an extensive report formatter.

The IBM ServerProven Certification increases customer confidence, since these utilities are installed and running successfully in an iSeries production environment as verified by IBM. Purchasing ServerProven software for new iSeries systems also gives customer's options for potential IBM hardware rebates, which lowers their total solution cost.
