Tamalpais Group and Real Vision take Fujitsu honor

Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., has announced that The Tamalpais Group and Real Vision Software, Inc. are the joint recipients of Fujitsu's Innovative Leadership Award. The award is designed to recognize independent software and hardware vendors (ISV's and IHV's) as well as VAR's that provide an imaging solution that significantly improves a business process and positively impacts the customer's bottom line. Real Vision Software, Inc. (RVI) provides a cross industry AS/400 based imaging solution through the IBM Business Partner channels.

CGR selests Intentia solution

Intentia announced that CGR Valley Products of Greensboro, N.C., has implemented Intentia's Movex, a world-leading e-collaboration solution encompassing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Advanced Production Planning, Supply Chain Management and e-business. Movex is running on an IBM AS/400 Server and has approximately 50 users. CGR Valley also plans to install Movex at its recently acquired manufacturing plant in Alabama. A key Movex component for CGR Valley is Advanced Production Planning (APP), an application that automatically schedules production orders against available production capacity and raw materials, and fits maintenance work orders into "production windows."

Kane promoted in Belfast

California Software Corp. recently announced that Lynnette Kane has been appointed to the position of manager of Support and Services of California Software's Unibol operation in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She began her career with Unibol in 1995 and developed extensive experience in migration and support of the Unibol products.

LANSA unveils e-business group

LANSA Inc. of Oak Brook, Ill., recently announced the creation of its e-Business Solutions Group. The e-business Solutions Group is focused on the delivery of industry specific e-business application framework solutions that leverage the core LANSA development tools. The group will be responsible for development of the e-business framework products and will also be actively involved in the rollout and education for these solutions with business partners and customers. IBM offers break this quarter on financing e-business software

IBM this week announced a first-quarter financing incentive designed to help customers get on track fast with new e-business software, networking and storage applications and hardware. IBM Global Financing's Early Installation Financing Payment Deferral promotion provides a 120-day deferral of payments if select new products are installed in February, and a 30-day deferral if the customer chooses to install these products in March. Eligible products include all IBM distributed, one-time charge software, including Lotus and Tivoli products and IBM middleware, such as WebSphere and data management products. Hardware products include all IBM storage, printer and networking products. Software product early installation incentives are available in North America and worldwide in selected countries in which IBM Global Financing operates.
