UniComp recently announced that its mAStermind management software for the iSeries 400 will be enhanced to utilize wireless two-way communications between an iSeries 400 and a mobile phone. The newest version of mAStermind will expand its messaging software capability allowing the iSeries 400 to send a message to a mobile phone if a problem should occur. Service professional can respond and take corrective action by initiating the OS/400 commands and programs from his SMS (Short Message Service) or WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) mobile phone.


Vision Solutions and Apria Healthcare team up for software testing

Vision Solutions , announced a partnership with Apria Healthcare Group Inc., a home healthcare company. Vision Solutions will be partnering with Apria on beta testing of its Vision Suite solution, as well as working with Apria to develop other software enhancements for its IBM iSeries 400 (AS/400) servers. Symatrix acquires AIS

Symatrix Technology, Inc. recently announced the acquisition of prominent IBM/Microsoft business partner and consulting services firm, Advanced Information Solutions, Inc. (AIS) of Lake Oswego, Oregon. The acquisition continues the company's strategy of building the region's most complete systems integration and application services company. The AIS deal enhances the company`s resources in the Microsoft and IBM AS/400 market, especially those focused on e-business solutions.

Lakeview Technology has announced the completion of MIMIX FastPath services at J.D. Edwards to cluster-enable their OneWorld Xe application for IBM AS/400and iSeries 400. The completion of these services has enabled J.D. Edwards to achieve IBM's ClusterProven branding for OneWorld Xe.
