Why can't we write code for display files in lower case letters?
Display files are written in DDS. All code before RPGVI had to be in uppercase since the code is converted to HEX when stored. Back then the computing power of computers were slow and did not make sense to allow for mixed case. I could be wrong on the HEX conversion, but as they say "That's my story and I'm sticking to it".
