Write a CL program to pass parameters

I have a tape drive that is shared between two LPARs and most of the time the tape drive is at a VARY OFF status for both LPARs. I'm not sure how to write a CL to have one LPAR go over to the other LPAR and vary it off. What do you suggest?

If you create a standard data queue on one copy of OS/400 and a DDM data queue on the other, you can pass parameters back and forth between copies of the OS to run your CLs to turn on and off your tape systems.
