I need to know what the list of 'Q' user profiles are and what their purpose is? We are being audited and need to provide a list of all profiles and explain their function. For example, I know that QBRMS is probably the default for the Backup/Recovery Management System. It is enabled on our system, yet we don't use BRMS. I need to know which profiles I can safely disable.
The 'Q' profiles are documented in Appendix B in the iSeries Security Reference manual, which is available as a .PDF from the IBM Infocenter. Open the Security topic in the left-hand navigator bar and you should be able to open the PDF of this manual from there.
