In a recent question about uploading a file from Excel to the iSeries, where the reader had been setting up the iSeries file using DDS, you replied that you didn't think any of the other iSeries tools would be much help.
You did list a few options, but you didn't mention the tool in Client Access that enables you to create an iSeries file from a PC file. That has been a really useful feature of V5R1 and up -- any particular reason you didn't steer the reader in that direction? I'm just curious.
The reason that I didn't list that solution is that not everyone has the Client Access Data Transfer licensed program. However, I just realized that the Data Transfer Excel Add-In does not require a license to be purchased -- so that would be a good option to consider for Excel.
