We are using an iSeries machine using CA to download some iSeries files (from a given library)on a regular basis. But, I need to upload a PC ZIP file to the iSeries -- just for repository. I would like to know how to upload the file -- now existing in a PC directory -- to the iSeries. A step-by-step procedure or some pointer would be highly appreciated.
The required operation can be done very easy by using the iSeries NetServer. The NetServer allows you to map without Client Access iSeries directory to the PC. Click here for more information.
You can also use FTP to upload the file. The FTP script will look like this:
cd /as400dir lcd c:pcdir bin put myfile.zip
