Unlocking or deleting IFS objects

There are some IFS objects that are locked. Although the user is able to move the IFS objects about, he can neither unlock nor delete them. There are four files all starting with Dir/TMPC/EMO. His OS/400 is at V5R1.
Most likely, the system thinks the objects are "in use" by another process. You didn't say which commands you've tried so I'll list the ones that may be helpful – Release IFS Locks (RLSIFSLCK) as well as the List Object Locks (QWCLOBJL) API, which takes a pathname.xc
