How can you tune the program for maximum efficiency?
That all depends on what the program is going to do and how it is used. Some programs need to be tuned for massive database I/O. And some are intensive workstation/screen I/O. Some are massive calculations. Some are service programs for other programs. Each has it's own way of being tuned in design, coding, compiling, debug information (or the lack thereof), system reporting, size compression and memory usage. The list goes on and on.
