I am looking for a reliable, consistent method of regularly transferring CSV files to the iSeries. I have searched the Web and I find several options, none of which I have been successful with. Is it best to go with a product or is there already a CL command built into the OS/400 that will provide that functionality?
It does depend on your exact requirements on whether a third-party product is needed. You could easily setup a CL program that does a Batch FTP and the CPYFRMIMPF CL command, and then use the OS/400 Job Scheduler to call this CL program to regularly transfer the CSV files.
