Too many handheld users crash the system

We have an RPG application running on a 5250 session on handheld scanners. The application has multiple inquiry screens. All users sign in to the system with the same user profile. After three or more users sign on, a SQL statement and a chain to a file stops working because it cannot find the requested record. How can I get this to work with multiple users?
This is something for which you will have to use debug. It is an application error. Something in your programs is causing the problem, and since I have no access to your code, I can't give you any help! It sounds as if it might be a problem with record locks, but don't quote me!
