The Save while active function

Could you explain to me how the Save will active back/up works, does it save any object, no matter if it's lock by the user, and if it is possible to use through the IBM job scheduler?

The Save while active function allows the backup procedure to synchronize the objects being saved based on the synchronization level you have selected. The function will save the images of the objects to the same date/time stamp so that when they are restored, they will all be the same snap-shot in time. This function was implemented to allow saving while objects were locked by users. Because different types of locks on objects can be performed by the system, it would be best to check the information center and go through a full backup/recovery plan.
