It seems like ever since we upgraded to V5R2, our iSeries Client Access sessions have been randomly dropping off, leaving the session window blank, leaving an active job in WRKACTJOB and leaving the session in a vary-on pending status. The session users are usually in the middle of entering something when this happens. Has anyone been having trouble with this?
Telnet is a sensitive application and it suffers from "dirty network". Read this document for an explanation on how to troubleshoot dropping sessions. Pay special attention to the Keep Alive and PTF Issues sections.
