Synchronizing AS/400 passwords with NT passwords

I've seen something somewhere about a security setting that would enable our user's to synchronize their AS/400 passwords with their NT passwords, but now I can't find the pro's/con's. I'm thinking we had to be at level 40 security to consider it. Can you help me find the documentation to research this? We're at 4.5, level 30.

IBM has a Licensed Program Product called System Manager/400 that supports the synchronization of passwords across a network of AS/400e or iSeries 400 systems. It is documented in IBM System Manager Use, Chapter 15, under the topic, Changing the Password on all Systems.
