I run Windows NT 4.0 on my PC. I use Access ODBC driver for my database. Suddenly the connectivity of my database has become very slow. Can you tell me why this is happening?
The best way to look for clues to a slow ODBC connection is via the iSeries mechanism as follows:
* Find out the user name you are using for connection (For example user ABC).
* Go to the iSeries and issue command WRKOBJLCK ABC *USRPRF.
* Locate a job called QZDASOINIT look in the joblog for possible problems.
* You may need to update the QAQQINI file in QUSRSYS in order to force debug messages to appear in the JOBLOG.
