Setting up an iSeries to use a PPP dialup to an ISP

I want to setup my iSeries to use a PPP dialup to my ISP for connecting my system to the Internet. How do I configure my system for dialup, configure my intranet/Internet and my HTTP server?

Use the IBM Internet Setup Wizard. It contains three separate wizards:

1. Connecting your iSeries (AS/400) as a Web and application server behind a firewall and allowing access to it from the Internet.

2. Connecting your iSeries (AS/400) as a Web and application server to a DMZ outside a firewall and allowing access to it from the Internet.

3. Directly connecting your iSeries (AS/400) to the Internet through a dial-up connection.

The wizards are located at: http://www.iseries.ibm.com/tcpip/iwizard.htm

The wizards may be used from any non-5250 workstation and are completely written in Java.

To see what the wizards setup, there are multiple places to find documentation to configure the HTTP server and the PPP dialup connections. To configure you iSeries (AS/400) for PPP, go to the AS-400 Information center. Once in the InfoCenter, select Networking--->TCP/IP--->PPP Connections. It is located at: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/pubs/html/as400/v4r5/ic2924/info/RZAIYGETSTART.HTM

The Webmaster's Guide to setup of the HTTP server is located at http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/cgi-bin/bookmgr/BOOKS/QB3AEO05/CCONTENTS
