I'm trying to access a logical file through ODBC. The problem: When I check the results, the information presented is not sorted at all and it shows the contents of the regular physical. I'm using CA Express ODBC V5R1.
As far as I now, this is not an ODBC issue, rather then SQL issue. When selecting records from SQL table, you cannot assume anything on the order of the rows (that is SQL is allowed to return the rows anyway he likes).
Add order by clause to your statement (it will use the lf for the sorting), for example: Select empno, empname from emp order by empno.
