I have designed a backup CL program and save the IFS (SAV command). This backup runs under active subsystems. I can't end the subsystems because other things run at the same time. With active subsystems, the command SAV tries to connect with another host on the network. I then receive the message ?CPDB050 logon error on remote servers?. How can I avoid the command SAV from trying to connect to the other hosts within the network? It takes a lot of time. When the subsystems are down, the SAV command takes just a few minutes. Is there any relationship with the backup of /QNTC?
If the QNTC directory is in the path of the SAV, the system will attempt to connect with the remote servers defined. If you change your SAV to avoid this directory by using paths to save, it should not attempt the connection. There are no system or command settings to prevent the sign on attempt.
