Is there a way we can restrict a profile from being created with a default password?
To restrict a profile from being created with a default password, I recommend that you change the command default for the CRTUSRPRF command PASSWORD parameter to be *NONE instead of *USRPRF.
To prevent users from changing their password to be the default, change any of the QPWD* system values to be something other than their default setting. For example, you could change the QPWDRQDDGT system value from '0' to '1' so that the system requires a digit in the password. In addition to requiring a digit, OS/400 will also check to make sure it's not a default password.
