On V5R2, what is the best method to reset QSECOFR's password when the profile is disabled, and the profile is disabled in DST? We are unsure of the password?
The user profile can be enabled and the password can be changed using DST. There are two separate user IDs and passwords for the QSECOFR. One is for use on the system, and the other is for DST. If you know one password, you can get the other reset. If you have any profile in the security officer group, you can re-enable QSECOFR. You may also be able to re-enable it using a profile with the appropriate authority to change user profiles. You can read about how to reset them here.
