Our users are running PC batch jobs and they need files located on the iSeries IFS. Map network drive works fine, but "reconnect at logon" is a problem. The PC is on remote location and is connected to the host via an ISDN line. Router establishes connection when there is a need for it. If I'm booting and the PC line is down, then the network drive is not mapped and is disconnected. Is there any way to automatically access the network drive afterwards in the batch program? My PC is running XP on V5R1.
Your PC files can reconnect from the batch file using the net. Use the PC command as follows:
net use driveletter \computernamesharename password
