Printing errors since power outage occurred
One Search400.com member writes, "One of the companies I work with recently had a power outage. Since then, any spool file created acts like it is going to print (status WTR) then immediately goes on hold. I checked the message description for CPA3394 -- Load formtype -- but all looks good. Any suggestions would be appreciated." Thankfully, printing/outprint expert Chip Milosch was on hand to offers some advice.

There must be some other messages being delivered by the iSeries. Do a WRKWTR (Work with writers) command, find the offending printer, and type an option 7. The messages from the writer should tell you something. If the writer itself is failing and ending abnormally, then there should be a QJOBLOG under the user id QSPLJOB. Look for those by typing "WRKSPLF QSPLJOB."
