Printing IPDS with overlays to Xerox MFU printers

Using an AS400 to print IPDS with overlays to Xerox MFU printers can be made easier if you use Host Print Transform.

Printing IPDS with overlays to Xerox MFU printers has been a headache. The only way we have found to make it work is using I/O 5755 gateways to convert the IPDS to ASCII.

Is there another way?

If you configure your Xerox printer to use Host Print Transform, then you can print overlays 'native'. That is the simplest and most straightforward approach. A while back I wrote an explanation of how Host Print Transform works for Search400.com.
