How can I print PDF documents that are stored in IFS? The PDF's contain images and text; I want to print them on Laser printers with CL code.
In order to print these documents directly from the iSeries, you would generally need to have a third-party tool. The problem is that while you can create PDF documents in the IFS, say by means of an Infoprint Server conversion output queue, the iSeries doesn't really know how to print these documents once they are created. PDF documents are ASCII, and the iSeries obviously isn't. There are a number of tools available on the market that can read documents from the IFS and then request printing via Adobe Acrobat / Adobe Reader.
