We run a weekly backup in QCTL. The CL is set to start at a specific time. On a few occasions, there has been a message from a user job that prevents the backup from running until someone answers the message on the console. Is there a way to prevent these messages from going to the console on weekends when we do not have an operator?
Set the message queue to a status of *HOLD.
CHGMSGQ MSGQ(QSYSOPR) DLVRY(*HOLD)
There, wasn't that simple? Have a great weekend!
