My iSeries has a mind of it's own

My iSeries 270 is resetting the system value QIPLDATTIM. I have set this value manually to *none. For some unknown reason, the 400 keeps resetting the IPL every week. I need to know where/how I can stop this from happening.

The QIPLDATTIM system value is automatically updated when there is an IPL scheduled with the GO POWER command. If you do a GO POWER, opt. 1 to display the Power On/Off Schedule you should see an entry for the date that is specified in the QIPLDATTIM system value. If you don't want the system to continue IPL via the date and time specified in the GO POWER menu, you will need to take opt. 2 to change, then delete the entry. This will prevent the system from updating the QIPLDATTIM system value.
