We are in process of migration of existing COBOL application on V3R7 to V5R1. What points could be critical deciding in migration process/approach.
When migrating 7 levels of the operating system, there are literally hundreds of areas of possible concern. In the interest of speed, I would probably move the source and recompile the entire system. Having done this before with 3 errors that required correction, it is the simplest and fastest way to migrate this jump. We connected the two systems and created DDM files to move the data once the new system was created on V5R1.
