Local system sent SNA negative response data

We have been receiving an error message from our iSeries systems, "Local system sent SNA negative response data to controller QESCTL on device *N." The problem: A work ticket is automatically issued. We've been marking these tickets as 'non-issue' but we are having controversy over it from a client. Can you please explain what's going on?

The message you are getting is in reference to the QESCTL controller used for ECS (Electronic Customer Support) direct to IBM. If you aren't currently using the ECS process, this message is not a problem. If you are attempting to send/receive ECS information on service and you get this message, you need to check the joblog of the job that created this message.
