I have a VB application running on a Windows 2000 server and need to be able to initiate a job on the iSeries from within the VB application, passing parameters if possible. Is there a way to initiate a job on the iSeries from a VB program on the 2000 server?
The best way I know of calling iSeries programs with parameters (both input and output parameters) is by using the OLE DB support of Client Access. It can be used to create a program call object and a parameter collection and easily call a program on the iSeries.
