I have an HP1000 connected to a Windows 98 PC. I set up the printer outq on the iSeries, but I cannot get anything to print out. The document shows up in the Windows printer outq, but never prints.
From your post, I understand that you use virtual printing. That means you probably use emulation printer session.
Most emulations will let you choose the option to do local translation. That means that the spool will download as an EBCDIC file and will be translated by the printer session.
In order to use this option you should choose host print transform= *NO on the emulation configuration, this may improve your situation.
