Getting the backup for the physical file only

How can I take the backup for only the physical file, I want only the data? When I am giving objtype(*file) in...

savobj it's taking backup for all the object of type *file.

Even though using SAVOBJ OBJTYPE(*FILE) saves logical, display, printer files as well as physicals (and therefore data), the objects saved are generally small. This includes logical files as the default option for SAVOBJ is not to save access paths, whether they belong to a physical or logical file. Saving all those objects should not hamper your general back-up even if you end up saving more than what you would like. If you really want to prevent non-physical files from being saved, you'll need to use DSPFD to file selecting the appropriate file attributes and read the output file record by record and save file by file with SAVOBJ.
