We are getting ready to move our iSeries 400 and before we do we want to do a savsys and have the system power down after the savsys is complete so users can not get back on the system. Is there a way to do this? Currently after we do a savsys all the subsystems are getting restarted.
Change the QSTRUPPGM system value to *NONE, end all subsystems (ENDSBS *ALL), and then run the SAVSYS command. When QCTL is brought out of the restrictive state it runs the program specified in the QSTRUPPGM system value. If this is set to *NONE, nothing else will be started so you can then power down the system.
