FTP security using exit program

I read your tip regarding FTP security and you recommended using exit program. Can you give me idea how to write exit programs?
Of all the exit programs, FTP is by far the easiest to write yourself. There are samples on IBM's Information Center as well as other Web sites. Also, you can control FTP functions by using Application Administration. Application Administration is a feature of iSeries Navigator (OpsNav.) Right click on the system name, take the option for Application Administration and click on the "Host" tab. Open the TCP/IP path and you will see that you have the capability to control FTP functions by user, group or the ability to turn it off for everyone.
