Execute a command at NT4.0 server

Referring to your answer to the question posed on Feb. 6, 2001. I tried to use RUNRMTCMD to execute a command at...

NT4.0 server. But I received following message in response at AS/400. 'A remote host refused an attempted connect operation.' 'Command did not complete successfully.' Could you teach me what I need to set up at NT4.0 side?

You must setup the remote exec daemon on the NT Server. Here are several options:

* Install remote command service from Client Access.
* Install remote command daemon from nt resource kit
* Buy rexec daemon for NT from www.denicomp.com (very cheap).

The rexec daemon should be started after installation. The startup and configuration of the daemon are based on the option you choose.
