I am writing Visual Basic 6.0 code to retrieve data from the iSeries. Is there any example code available? When I request a record set that returns no records, I get an error. I can use an ?On Error Statement?, but I don't like to do that. My error specifies "Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 2.7 Library" and the command I am using is 'rsADO.Open "F03402YL5 order by LBPDTE,LBPTME", cnADO, , , adCmdTable' where rsADO is a record set. I am modeling this after requests from Microsoft SQL Server 2000.
I would suggest searching the iSeries Info Center with "ADO" as your search string.
You might also try this .NET framework page to see some working examples.
