Dealing with the QUSRSYS backup issue

We just moved to V5R1 and are up against this QUSRSYS backup issue. If we end these subsystems, do we have to restart TCIP or any specific servers after we restart the subsystems?

Unless you are ending the TCP/IP servers, you shouldn't have to restart them. I have a custom program that I use in my QSTRUP CL when my system starts to insure only those servers I want to start are started, and those I want to make sure are not running are terminated. I also use the CL I wrote for backups. I terminate the TCP servers, run my backup and restart them all in the same program.
