I need to create a comma delimited file and I'm trying to use CPYTOIMPF: CPYTOIMPF FROMFILE(MYLIB/MYFILE MYMBR) TOSTMF('/MYFLR/MYFILE.CSV') MBROPT(*REPLACE) STMFCODPAG(*STDASCII) RCDDLM(*CRLF) STRDLM(*NONE) FLDDLM(',').
For some reason the resulting file is created with the commas, but in fixed locations: each field is padded with blanks on the right. Is there any way to get rid of the blanks?
Write a simple program to strip them, or use one of the freeware utilities that will convert spooled files to .CSV files.
