Converting documents from Office/400 to Microsoft Word

I have documents in Office/400 and want to convert them Microsoft Word. What is a simple way to do this as we are on V4R5? Also, if we go to V5R1 is there a simpler way?
Microsoft Word resource kit for old word versions contains a converter to RFT-DCA so you need to:

1. Download the converter from Microsoft.

2. Map the network drive to the iSeries where the Microsoft Office is located.

3. Open the Microsoft Office file from Word using the converter.
