I've tried to FTP a file from the iSeries to a PC running NT. The records in the file had blanks in the last five bytes of each record (record size was 280 bytes). The records on the PC were only 275 bytes since the FTP transmission automatically chopped off the last five bytes. How do I FTP the file and keep the records at 280 bytes, thus keeping the last field of five blanks?
It is possible to control trimming of trailing blank in the iSeries FTP client by using lsite command as follows:
locsite trim 0 - Set Trim option to OFF. The server sends trailing blanks of database records.
