I am looking to change the attributes on a print file - line, CPI, overflow after the user has created the file. I can do it with going to a database and back, but I was trying to do this under a QSYSOPR profile running a job out of a data queue from the OUTQ and yet keep the file under the original user profile.
The only way I know is to create a few CL programs to use the Spooled file API's to GET and PUT and change the parameters on the fly. This will duplicate the spooled file, change the attributes and still use the original user's profile.
