Automatically performing housekeeping tasks

Is there a way to have the AS/400 automatically perform housekeeping tasks such as cleaning up old user messages, joblogs, etc?

Using the QSECOFR password, or some other password with sufficient authority, type Go Cleanup from a command line. From option 1 of this menu, you will be able to set your preferences for number of days to keep messages, joblogs, etc. You can also schedule a time that you want cleanup to run. It is also worth mentioning that joblogs and program dumps will not be affected by these settings if you have moved them from the default output queues (QEZJOBLOG and QEZDEBUG).
